Susie Parr

Interviewed on 01.01.1970

In the early 1970s Martin and Susie Parr photographed and recorded the people of Hebden Bridge and area.

These recordings are the raw copies of Susie's casette tapes made while Martin and Susie were working. There are twelve tapes, a total of around 10 hours of raw talk from a variety of people about how it used to be.

Some of the recordings are or low quality but contain fascinating detail about life in Hebden Bridge during the early - mid twentieth century.
