  • News: New web content - WW1 letters and 10 hours of interviews from the 1970s

We've added some fascinating new content to the website that really brings the past to life.

Firstly, following on from our Alternative Lifestyles project, we were graciously given pictures and interviews by world famous photographer Martin Parr and his wife Susie Parr. There are ten hours of interviews carried out by Martin and Susie with folk of the town in the 1970s - looking back to the past and particularly the era of the chapel. Listen to the tapes.

Secondly, we've uploaded the 149 pages of WWI letters from the family of Ali Miles. These are sent to and from soldiers at the front back to the town. Read the letters.

There's also an interview for local radio by volunteer Lucy Moon asking Tony Wright during the Tour de France about the origins of Wild Rose Heritage and Arts.
